Outdoor Sauna Products & Features

iSauna.ca offers many different types of outdoor saunas – first, choose your type:

Traditional Barrel Sauna

The barrel-shaped sauna is our best-value high-quality model and is the most popular type of outdoor sauna. It’s ideal for small backyards and spaces, and its capacity depends on its length and width. You can choose between red or white cedar, spruce or pine and add modifications such as a porch, changing room, and two-tier benches.

Cabin Sauna

A traditional square cabin-shaped sauna that has an L-shaped, two-tiered bench, two front windows, and a metal or shingle roof to ensure it is always dry and ready to use. You may add a porch and changing room to your sauna as well as have more windows.

Panoramic & Half-Moon Barrel Sauna

The Panoramic Barrel sauna is similar to the classic barrel sauna structure, but with an acrylic bubble to the back wall that will provide you with spectacular and breathtaking views. This barrel sauna provides you with more space and beautiful views that help you reduce stress and be even closer to nature.
There is an option to have a sauna with a half-moon panoramic window (bronze tempered double glass) that will also provide you with beautiful views and provide you with an ability to also have a wood-burning external feed stove.

Pod Sauna

A teardrop-shaped sauna that provides additional head space in its center and looks organic and unique. The POD sauna features flat floors and one or two-tiered L-shaped benches that can comfortably fit up to 8 people.

Luna sauna

The Luna is a square shape with gently rounded corners that gives you plenty of space inside. It has a beveled, sloped roof.

Custom-Built

We aim to make the sauna of your dreams! You can choose any available material, size, type, and feature to build your own relaxation oasis!

Choose your Sauna Size

Most major Canadian Municipalities allow for a maximum shed size without a permit of 10 square meters or 107 square feet.

However, it’s highly recommended to verify and confirm regulations in your municipality. iSauna.ca always verifies regulations with the Fire Department, By-Law and other related governing authorities to ensure that you will not have any issues further.

Our saunas can fit from 2 to up to 14 people, but there is also an option to build it smaller or larger.

Choose the Material

Our saunas can be built from red and white cedar, spruce, aspen, or pine. You can also mix the materials by choosing, for example, a pine sauna with cedar floors and benches.

Choose the Heater

We provide wood-burning or electric stove options for you to choose from. You can pick an internal or external feed if you select a wood-burning stove. For electric stoves, our electrician will provide all the initial electrical wiring and setup if you select the iSauna.ca Installation Service.

Outdoor Sauna Features

Made from 100% Canadian Wood

We offer sustainably sourced Canadian wood species that are high-quality, versatile, and easy to use. You can select and mix species to best suit your preferences between red and white cedar, spruce, aspen, and pine. Canada is known for having stringent forest laws and certifications to combat climate change. By choosing sustainable wood products, we deliver an accessible and essential step in fighting for a more renewable future.

Hand-Crafted Scandinavian Style Barrel Sauna

Traditional Scandinavian saunas utilize high, dry heat and low humidity to sweat out toxins from the body. The popular and long-standing style is precisely crafted to allow you to appreciate health and wellness benefits. Distinctive from steam or soaking baths, Scandinavian outdoor saunas relax and rejuvenate uniquely and unforgettably.

Wood-Burning Stove Included

An external feed wood-burning stove is included in your outdoor sauna purchase price. The design keeps the mess of ash or wood chips outside. Another option is an internal feed stove, which allows you to stay inside for the duration of your session by bringing and storing firewood in the sauna.
*Wood-burning Internal Feed:
– You don’t need to walk out of the sauna to feed your stove
– You save some heat. Every time, when you open a door, there is a loss of heat.
– Larger variety of internal wood stoves – ranges of prices, types, and models

High-Quality Tempered Glass Windows & Door

All our saunas use tempered glass windows and doors to ensure their high quality and reliability. Tempered glass is four times stronger than regular glass and adapts well to dramatically changing outdoor temperatures. If it ever breaks, tempered glass shatters into small circular pieces instead of sharp, jagged shards to keep you safe.

5 Years Manufacturer’s Warranty

Our goal is to give you peace of mind when shopping with us. To help you feel protected with your purchase, we offer a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty on all outdoor saunas. This includes any defects in materials and workmanship under normal/residential use from the date of receipt of the product by the original end-user consumer. The warranty does not cover regular required maintenance, misuse, or negligence of the sauna. Please consult warranty conditions or contact our team with any further questions or to receive assistance.

Outdoor Sauna FAQ

Our Canadian-made saunas come in prefabricated kits with easy-to-follow assembly instructions. Assembly takes approximately 6-9 hours, depending on the individual’s abilities and the type and size of the sauna. For example, barrel saunas are faster to assemble than other types. We also offer an optional assembly service to save you time and ease your stress. Please note that a manufacturer’s warranty can be voided if you do not follow the included instructions.

The most important thing to remember when using your outdoor sauna is to stay hydrated before and during your session. Try to slowly extend your sessions over time, starting at no more than 15 minutes initially, followed by 10-15 minute breaks. Open the door and ventilate after use to circulate the air. You should also clean the sauna after every session or at least once a week if it is not regularly used. Clean your stove often and maintain wood surfaces by sanding and applying paraffin oil on surfaces at least twice per year to take proper care of your sauna.

When choosing your ideal stove, consider where you plan to install the sauna and what features are important to you.

Electric stoves heat up quickly, about 20-30* minutes, with the press of a button. You can pour water on the rocks to regulate the temperature. Installation in urban areas is straightforward, and an electrician can usually hook up the connection in a few hours.

Wood stoves are the traditional choice and are contrastingly unlimited by electric availability. Heating the sauna requires loading wood into the stove and waiting about 20-40* minutes. You can control the temperature and scent based on which species you burn.

*Depending on external temperature
